Here you’ll find my handcrafted shakuhachi for sale (as of 2024 I’m now living in France). I uphold the title of Daishihan or ‘Grandmaster’ and I’ve been crafting shakuhachi full-time since 2003, age 17 (over half my life and counting). My focus or specialty is carefully working with the unique bamboo bores by making minimal, yet crucial adjustments at key points (Jinashi and Jimori 地無し•地盛り). With these you’ll hear the vast voices of nature and find those which speak to you. I also craft contemporary, fully-sculpted Jiari, aka Jinuri shakuhachi.
